Excelvan® 5-in-1 Motorcycle-Bicycle Handlebar Mount for iPhone 6

Last thing that I picked up was the Excelvan 5 in 1 Motorcycle Mount for the iPhone 6.  Definitely needed something that would protect my phone while on the bike if and when it rained, which was my main concern.

The case in general should be really good and it looks to be very easy to get the phone in and out of it, but the lightning port looks to be blocked as well.  Anyways I may have to do some modifications to make the port available, but other then that it should work out very well.

Enjoy the video.

I recently picked one of these up too. However, connecting and disconnecting the case from the handlebar mount offers very little resistance and I worry that the case will pop off the mount if I hit some bumps. The case is pretty sturdy, but I really don’t want to test it at highway speeds. I was wanting to see if you had a similar observation. Maybe there’s some Chinese fingertrap sequence to securing it that I’m not doing?

    • so far it seems to be working ok. i agree its not quite as snug as id like it, but so far no problems. ill let you know if it gets worse or if i have any problems with it. My season is just starting so riding is just beginning, as well as the testing of all the gear which I’ve purchased over the winter.

Well I took it out in a test run on the mountain bike. It did well on the smooth stuff, but then I picked up some speed and hit some bumps and that sucker flew off. It survived at 20mph, but I’d be pretty worried at highway speed. I’m glad I tried it on the pedal bike before the Harley. I’m not sure how I’ll proceed. I might rig up a strap to secure it somehow. Pretty disappointed though. It needs a more secure snapping mechanism. :/

    • So I’ve been riding with it mounted on my motorcycle for the past few weeks and my version has been completely rock solid. Have no problems putting my phone in it for long rides. Was actually riding home today and got caught in the rain. Worked perfectly.
