It really doesn’t matter if you are heading out for an afternoon ride, a day ride, an overnight ride or heading out for a long journey the last thing you want is for you or your stuff to be wet. Having wet gear sucks!
Most of us spend a fair bit of time getting rain gear for ourselves to make sure that we stay dry and thats smart, especially if you are heading out for a long trip. But its also important to keep your gear dry. Like your electronics, clothes, passport and other documents.
And that where dry bags come in handy. I picked up a fairly inexpensive pack from amazon which i am pretty happy with. It comes with the dry bag itself coming in eat 20L (which I honestly had no idea of how big that was). Anyways its a pretty good size. The pack also comes with a Universal Smartphone Waterproof case. And thats pretty great as well.
