Was Looking For Some Highway Pegs … Updated w/video

So in a previous post I went over my new Crash Guards that I picked up from HyosungSource.com for my Hyosung Aquila GV250.  I really like how they fit, how they look, and how easy they were to install.  But what is a little difficult is their size.  They are between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

So when I went looking for some highway pegs it was difficult to find ones that I could guarantee would fit.  Plus these Crash Guards are quite different in shape which also makes finding pegs a little more difficult.  So I went on the hunt.

One of the things that I didn’t want to do was spend a lot on pegs that possibly didn’t or wouldnt fit on these bars.  I ended up finding these pegs on Ebay.com.

They are “Vintage Highway Pegs” and were designed as “Universal” pegs.  The best thing was that they were only $12.95.  So even if they didn’t fit I really wasn’t out that much money.

So I ordered a pair.

I just picked them up this morning and put them on right away.  They are super easy to install as they are held onto the crash bars with 4 nuts and bolts per peg.  I have to say they are a nice addition to the bike.  Not only do they match the existing pegs that are on the bike, but they should allow me to adjust my legs and sitting position while on longer rides.

So worth the $13? Most definitely.  If you want something fancy, then these pegs are not them, but if you want pegs that do their job and are nice and inexpensive, then you have found them.
