With the 2016 Montreal Motorcycle show fast approaching (less than a week away) I thought that this might be a good time to let people know what they might expect, and maybe some info that may help them decide which day that should attend.
I know that we will be attending Saturday but really that’s just due to the fact that I need a full day to be able to travel to Montreal and Saturday just works best for myself and my wife.
Lets talk about what’s happening.
Friday… This seems like a big night for the ladies. First off it’s half price admission! Saving a couple bucks is always a good thing. Sorry guys no discounts for us! There will also be women specific activities and get this. They are going to draw for a new bike! You heard that right they will be giving away a new 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300. Now that’s a great reason to attend the show on Friday!
This half price admission starts after 5pm. So I know you all want to be there as early as possible but entering before 5pm will be at full price. Maybe a little dinner first and then the show. Seems like a pretty good night out!
One of the other cool events that will be happening at the show is The Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids and it looks like this is an exclusive to the Montreal Motorcycle Show. What is really cool about this is that it allows kids between the ages of 8 and 12 to actually get all geared up and ride an offload Yamaha motorcycle in a safe environment along with trained and certified instructors. What better way for your kids that have any kind of interest in motorcycles to experience the thrill of the ride and be safe while doing it!
Participation is limited to 8 riders at a time during scheduled session hours and each riding session runs for 15 minutes.
Children must be accompanied by parents or legal guardian with authority to sign a waiver. Children must already be proficient on a two-wheeled bicycle. We are looking forward to seeing a new generation of motorcycle riders. Can wait see these kids on the bikes!
Now for me I’m mostly interested in just sitting and seeing all the new bikes coming out from all the different manufacturers. Where else do you get the opportunity to see all the new bikes side by side. Talk with the manufacture and hopefully get all your questions answered. I know that I’m not interested in buying a new bike this coming year but this is the first bike event of the year and it makes the 2016 season feel like it is ready to begin! And that’s never a bad thing. So which manufacturers are attending the show? Well here’s the list …
So how much is this event going to cost? Well the pricing is actually pretty good considering you can spend the whole day there if you wish. Which is kind of my plan!
