I had bought something pretty much identical to this item earlier but its on my wife’s bike. I needed one for myself so off to amazon I went. Now I’m not using this for my cell phone but to mount my FRS radio to. And so far it seems to work good. The only thing that you need to watch for is vibrations. Depending on how you have this mounted the item you are using can vibrate itself loose. You may want to add some tight elastic bands to just help your device from coming loose. My wife uses hers to mount her iPhone and has never had an issue. I just think it’s because the FRS/GMRS radio is not a solid shape so the clamp can’t do its job the way it was meant to. But for under $10 you can’t go wrong!
