During today’s Motorcycle Awareness Month meet up we were fortunate enough to have one of the Ottawa Police Motorcycle Officers give us a short sample of some of their low speed maneuvers. During one of the sections the officer drops the bike. Now as great as it is to see someone do something perfectly, its also great to realize and see a rider of this caliber drop his bike. It shows that no matter how good you are dropping your bike is something that can happen to each and everyone of us.
Also once you watch the video after he falls and attempts to upright his fallen bike he ends up tipping the bike on the opposite side. Again, for myself this was a great thing to witness as it shows again, that if things do go wrong, its best to slow down and think about what you are doing so that you end up doing it once and properly.
Other then that it was a short demonstration, but Im very glad to have watched it. My hat’s off to the officer riding the motorcycle. Well done!
