The buying has begun!

When the bike went away in November due to the fact that it was stinking cold and there was a foot of snow on the ground I knew that over the next 2-3 months I wanted to purchase some items for the next riding season.  Some of that was a new action cam (which my wife ended up buying for me as a christmas gift – she got the Vivitar DVR-787HD).  I also wanted to get some chaps, vest and a new jacket.  Well I did get the vest and chaps, but still have a jacket in mind.  Hopefully that will come soon.

But two/three of the biggest items on my list this year were to do with motorcycle storage.  I really wished that I had more storage on almost everyone of my rides this past year, so bags were high on my list.

Last year I purchase a used set of saddlebags onine for $25 and they were fine for carrying my rain jacket, pants and maybe a small lunch but that was really all i was going to be taking with me.  This needed to change.  So far this year I have bought and received my trunk for the bike (even though I still need to order the luggage rack for the trunk to mount to) but I needed more.  So last night i finally decided (again realize I’m on a budget for now) after months of looking at pics, watching vids, and reading any possible review I could find to order my bags.

I ended up buying from a company called Mutazu and you can see all their stuff over at mutazu.com .  I bought their GA hard saddlebags.  These will be twice the size of the saddlebags that I currently own so that should be ample storage, plus they are made of the same PVC material that my TMS Trunk is made of, so I’m thinking/hoping that they go well together.  Either way I am storage ready and this is exciting.  Im pretty excited to actually receive these and mount them on my bike this spring.

Item two that I just ordered is the Intova Chest Strap. I have the Intova head and hand straps already, so this kind of completes the set.  This strap looks to be something that I can mount the camera to and shoot video while walking, riding or just about whatever, plus get a somewhat different point of view then most people get when they ride with their camera mounted to their head/helmet.

These two items should be here within the next 1-2 weeks so I’m looking forward to seeing them both and seeing what they are like.

Ill make sure to post a short overview/review of both of these products once I receive them.

Until then.
Greg
