Had to post our first ride of the Year! April 14th! Mark it on your calendar!
For whatever reason, this winter seemed to take forever to end. We got treated with an amazingly warm February which made us all think spring was coming early. But it didn’t. But the season has finally started and the bikes are out. Maybe this season seemed to take forever to start because my wife and I have so much planned for this season. As always we are doing many of the local charity rides, we are once again heading to North Conway, NH for the May long weekend, and are Maritime/Newfoundland ride will be happening this August! That last one is the one that we are of course most excited for.
The video below will be the last video that I’m riding on the Metzler tires and am now completely running on Shinko e-705 tires both front and back. My wife has been running them since late last season and really likes them. Hopefully, these will get me through the season! But taking the bike in to get the tires changed, revealed that I need my chain and sprockets replaced. Oh well, better to find out now then when I’m in the middle of nowhere! So the bikes going back into the shop next Thursday.
I’ve also ordered a bunch of stuff for my bike for the trip (parts and gadgets) and will be doing some posts in regards to those. They should all be arriving shortly.
