So Freedom Harley Davidson here in Ottawa had a demo day. So needless to say I spend a good chunk of the day down there. I got the opportunity to try out 3 bikes. Starting at the Street 750, then the FLD Switchback and lastly the FLTRXS Road Glide Special. All were fun to ride. The one that actually surprised me the most was the little Street 750. Much peppier then I expected. But honestly it just doesn’t feel like you are truly riding a Harley. And maybe that’s ok. The Switchback was good and it was a medium-sized cruiser. Plenty of power but I’m just not used to all the vibrations that come out of the Harley bikes. Maybe that comes with time. Lastly was the Road Glide Special and honestly I wanted to try this bike mostly because of the front fairing. The fairing just doesn’t move. And that was weird. Not weird when moving fast, but definitely a little awkward when going slow. I’m sure again that this would become normal after riding it for a while but it was definitely strange when I was starting or stopping.
Over all it was a great day!
