Heated gear is always a good idea, especially if you are like us and like to ride for as long as the season will let us, and usually, at the beginning and end of the season, you are riding in weather that is on the cold side. And as we all know once your core gets cold the rest of you is close behind it. So keeping your core is warm is very important.
One of our biggest questions was whether we wanted a heated vest that was 12v powered or battery powered. We decided on the battery option as this would allow us to use the vests throughout the winter months and whenever we just wanted some extra heat.
Sounds like a great idea to me.
We opted for the PROsmart vests as they were one of the only vests that used standard battery bricks. This way if we wanted to carry extra batteries with us, we could. Seemed like a fantastic option.
