So just a quick post.
5 of us went on a nice ride from Ottawa to Calabogie, which is between an hour and an hour and a half each way (not including stops). So we left Ottawa around 11am. It was a little on the cold side, but that wasn’t going to stop any of us from enjoying our ride.
There was myself on my Hyosung Aquila GV250, 2 BMW motorcycles, a Harley Davidson and a Honda Goldwing. I was by far the smallest bike, as everyone else had close to a full 1000cc’s more power then I did. So this was going to be a nice test (especially with all the extra stuff that I added over the winter, which of course added more weight to the bike).
Surprisingly there was only one area that I had some trouble, which was at the beginning when we got on the highway. It was still quite windy out and I was maxing the throttle to stay with the pack, but I did. Im pretty sure that if it would have been less windy I would have not had any issue, and we were doing close to 120km/h. So I can’t complain to much.
I didn’t record the first part of the trip as it was mostly highway driving, but did record after we stopped for lunch and started on our way down the 511 (which is a nice and curvy road).
Fun indeed. Cant wait to do it again.
On a side note… The audio has some ‘pops and clicks’ once I get up to highway speeds, but i think its either my mic banging around, or the actual connection to the audio recorder (Zoom H1). Ill try it again next time to see if I can remedy it.
