Trying to get better Audio Recordings while Riding

Ive been watching a lot of MotoVloggers over the winter and with each one you see one drastic difference.  They either have good audio (where you can hear the person speaking) or they don’t.  And thats the point.  We want to be able to hear the person speaking.  So I had to figure out how I was going to go about this.

Now the Vivitar DVR-787HD cams have really bad audio and no mic input so they will pretty much be used for video only.  Mounting an actual camcorder was not something that I wanted to do, and really I didn’t expect to get much better audio from it, as the sound of the engine is so overpowering.  What I do have though is a ZOOM H1 audio recorder and wired mic.

So all I did was run the mic into my full face helmet and down to the ZOOM H1 recorder. Nothing fancy, but in all theory this should work somewhat well.

Check the video and let me know what you think of the sound difference !!
