Fly Terra Trek 3 Jacket

I seem to always want to buy new jackets and gear, but with the change of bikes I pretty much NEEDED to get new riding gear.  My old cruiser jacket just wasn’t gonna cut it.  HAHA.  So I ended up going online to do some searching.  As always I wanted to find something that would best fit my needs as well as not break the bank.

I’m surprised at how much money you can spend on gear and I get that it can protect you in a crash but over $1000 for a jacket just seems a little crazy for me.  I get if I was riding professionally but wow. Needless to say I did not pay anywhere near this for my jacket ($119US).  I wanted a longer coat, and due to seeing more and more motorcycle accidents this year, I wanted a high viz jacket.  Being seen now a days seems to be really important as I want to ride for many more years, and I don’t want some idiot to end up hitting me with the simple excuse that they didn’t see me.  Which would no matter be what they would say, but at least I’m doing what I can to help ensure that I am visible.  Enough with the rant.

I ended up with the Fly Terra Trek 3 jacket.  Fly does now make the Terra Trek 4 jacket and because of this I got the previous version at a discount, which is always good.  And I must say it is very visible.  Even more so then I thought it would be.  It’s definitely not a summer jacket as the venting isn’t great, but for night riding, and riding in the spring and fall it will be great, and exactly what I wanted it for.  Take a look at the video posted below and let me know what you think.
